About Rick
I have been a photographer for over 40 years. I was about six years old when my father, a professional photographer, gave me my first Kodak Brownie® camera. I have not looked back since.
Over the years I have developed an eye for color, composition, scale and harmony in my photography. I graduated to digital in 2003 and use only high quality professional equipment like the Nikon D3 DSLR.
I live in the Lutz / Land ‘O Lakes area but have clients through out Tampa Bay. My studio is in an old, rustic, historical cigar factory in West Tampa but I prefer on-location sessions. I am very easy to work with, have a laid back personality, and possess an overwhelming desire to make my clients happy.
My Philosophy
My philosophy is to treat each client as if they were my only one. Each client receives my total attention and is always guaranteed 110% effort. I listen to my clients and treat them as the unique individuals they are. I enjoy the personal interaction with art directors or graphic artists if engaged for comercial projects. My mind is always open to new and exciting ideas.
This is not just my "job". I don't do this just "to make a living". I am a photographer because I love art. I am inspired to make every image a work of art.
Portrait Sessions
A typical session will run about one hour. Ladies, you can be assured we will take more time to get it "right" if you feel it is needed. Guys, don't be put off by this. We can usually get just what she wants in one hour or less. Large families or groups may take a little longer.
Sessions can be booked for in-studio or on location. Sessions are only booked in the evenings or on weekends to better accommodate your busy schedule.
All proofing is done back in the studio about one week after the session. Both the photo session and proofing session appointments should be made at the same time.
Fees for portrait sessions begin at less than one hundred dollars and resulting portraits have a broad range of price points that will not break the bank.
My goal is to make this fun and exciting for you. As my client, your input is invaluable. You are always free to make suggestions and changes as we go and you are always free to bring props to your session.
Session appointments go quickly, so call or e-mail today to book your session.
Your Wedding Day
I currently work with noted Tampa wedding photographer, Robert Allen Sargent. We book a limited number of weddings each year. Please go to www.SargentPhotography.com for wedding gallaries and booking information. Full wedding coverage begins at $2,000.
Commercial Projects
No project is too small. My rates are very resonable and I enjoy working with small to medium size businesses and organizations. Commercial projects vary greatly in pricing, depending on usage rights for the images. My commercial clients receive the same personalized service as my wedding and portrait clients. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
My Clients
My clients know they do not want the cookie-cutter photography they get at the mall or with some other photographers. They want a little something more; something that is very personal and unique to them; something that only a personal connection with the photographer can give them. My clients receive that personal attention that gets the results they are looking for whether it is a commercial project, their wedding day or a family portrait. That is my promise to you.
